Download service manual PDF. I can't find one of these small remotes. There is a large Zenith remote sold by several outlets including Amazon that includes model ZB in the compatibility list; however, I don't want to spend that much for a remote for this aging radio.

Does anyone have an idea of where I could get a relatively cheap small remote? BTW, I have the original owner's manual 23 pages for this model. Does anyone want a copy of this manual? Even though the radio is old, isn't it better to spend the extra buck and be done with it then to have your aged mother go on without the convenience of a remote control while you keep on searching for something a little cheaper.

My question to you is, isn't your mother worth spending a little extra money on? I just got scolded. My mother died a good 10 years ago at the age of 91 and now the radio is back in my hands.

I just hate spending money on a dated radio remote that may cost more than this particular radio sells for today. The only source, that I can think of, that would produce such an item is Ebay and only 3 original remotes have passed through there, in the past 3 months, and both were still with the radio.

I did find the bigger remotes on Amazon. I may buy one, but thought I'd first try to find one of the small originals. Apolitical and Agnostic Forever Well, on the Forum, anyway! Since I found some good information but not the actual instructions, I actually searched for and found the manual. So, I'll post detailed directions below to help the next guy. While I would never say the radio sounds as good as a Bose, it is much much better than a typical clock radio.

Okay, here are the directions: Tune radio to desired channel and display the frequency temporarily press the "Display" switch to display frequency.

Sounds intuitive but it isn't. The fooler is having to press the "Memo Set" switch a second time. It seems to have decent sensitivity for pulling in weaker stations. Not the greatest if you are in bed and trying to find the right button to push. Any comments on how convenient the remote is? Has anyone found a site to download manuals.

It would be nice to find some service documentation for the inevitable day when it decides to misbehave.
